Welcome to the Spittelberg Christmas Market 2026 in Vienna
From November 13 to December 23, 2026, the historic Spittelberg quarter in Vienna's seventh district once again turns into one of the city's most atmospheric Advent markets. Along the narrow lanes of Stiftgasse, Schrankgasse, Spittelberggasse and Gutenberggasse, around 120 vendors present handmade crafts while the scent of mulled wine and roasted chestnuts fills the Biedermeier era neighborhood. The market is known as a more authentic and less crowded alternative to Vienna's larger Christmas markets.

The market is open Monday to Friday from 14:00 to 21:30, and on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays from as early as 11:00 to 21:30. Alongside the craft stalls, a changing supporting program adds extra atmosphere, including baking workshops for children, puppet theater performances and live music in the alleys. Art Advent at Karlsplatz
In front of Karlskirche and around Karlsplatz, this market focuses specifically on arts and crafts from November 13 to December 23, 2026, open daily from 12:00 to 20:00. Located close to the Vienna State Opera, it pairs well with a stroll along Kärntner Straße.
