Welcome to the Wine Stand at Trier's Hauptmarkt
Right in the middle of Trier's historic Hauptmarkt, a small but popular wine stand opens from mid March through early November. Week after week, at least one different winery from the Moselle, Saar and Ruwer region pours its wines here, letting locals and visitors taste the variety of the region glass by glass.

The wine stand is open Monday to Saturday from 10:00 to 22:00, and on Sundays and public holidays from 11:00 to 22:00, with last pour at 21:30. A published weekly schedule shows which winery is pouring on which days, and weekends in particular tend to draw a lively, sociable crowd. There is no stage program, the focus stays on tasting wine and chatting on the square.
