Welcome to the Wertinger Schlossweihnacht 2026 in Wertingen
The Wertinger Schlossweihnacht transforms the castle garden around the historic Pappenheim Castle into a festive Christmas world. Traditionally held on the second and third Advent weekends, the romantic market invites visitors for a relaxed stroll among regional exhibitors, winter specialties and festive lighting. For many years the Schlossweihnacht has been a highlight of the Advent season in the region.

Program & Schedule: What to Expect in 2026
The Wertinger Schlossweihnacht takes place on the second and third Advent weekends: from Friday 4 December to Sunday 6 December and from Friday 11 December to Sunday 13 December 2026. Opening hours are Friday and Saturday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., Sunday from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. The Castle Angel appears on Fridays and Saturdays at 5:30 p.m. and on Sundays at 3 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. In the fairy-tale hut Krimhilde tells stories at fixed times. The official opening takes place on the first Friday at 5 p.m.

Admission to the Wertinger Schlossweihnacht is free of charge. There are no entrance fees. Food, drinks and goods are purchased directly at the stalls. Current information is available on the City of Wertingen website.
