Welcome to the Vienna Ball Season 2026/2027
From its official opening on November 11 through Shrove Tuesday in February 2027, Vienna turns into the ball capital of the world. The State Opera, the Hofburg, the City Hall and the Musikverein host more than a hundred balls, each with its own character, crowd and tradition.

Between November and February, one ball follows the next, with the busiest stretch falling in January and the first weeks of February. A typical ball evening opens around 9 pm with the debutante couples' entrance, followed by the call of "Alles Walzer", which opens the floor to all guests. Around midnight a special performance, often the Fledermaus Quadrille, marks another highlight before dancing continues into the early morning hours.
