The Wiener Kaiser Wiesn 2026 takes place from 24 September to 11 October on the Kaiserwiese in the Prater. Austria’s largest traditional and Oktoberfest-style festival offers 18 days of tent atmosphere, live music and culinary highlights right in front of the Giant Ferris Wheel.

Program & Schedule: What to Expect in 2026

The Wiener Kaiser Wiesn opens daily from around 12:00. During the day visitors can explore the Wiesn Village, the alpine huts and the festival tents free of charge. In the evenings ticketed events take place in the three large tents with popular bands such as Die Lauser, Dirndl Rocker, Mountain Crew and many more. The programme features folk music, Schlager and party atmosphere until midnight. The fifth edition expects around 380,000 visitors and combines authentic tradition with modern Oktoberfest fun.

Tickets & Admission for Wiener Kaiser Wiesn Vienna

Admission to the festival grounds and tents is free during the day. Tickets are only required for the evening events in the three large festival tents. Prices range from approximately €39 to €52 depending on the date and tent. Tickets are available online via the official website and ticket partners and should be booked early, especially for weekend evenings.

  • Best reached by public transport: U1, U2, S-Bahn and trams to Praterstern station – only a few minutes’ walk to the Kaiserwiese.
