Welcome to Winter in Antwerp 2026
From 4 December 2026 to 3 January 2027, the historic city center of Antwerp transforms into a magical winter wonderland. Stretching beautifully from the banks of the Scheldt River all the way to the majestic Cathedral of Our Lady, this luxurious Christmas market is one of the largest and most elegant in Belgium. Experience thousands of twinkling lights, top-tier gastronomy, and pure winter magic.

Program
The market spans several iconic locations: Grote Markt, Groenplaats, Suikerrui, Operaplein, Handschoenmarkt, and Steenplein. Stalls are open from Sunday to Thursday between 12:00 PM and 10:00 PM, and on Fridays and Saturdays until midnight (12:00 AM). Special opening hours apply on holidays: On 24 and 31 December, the market closes early at 6:00 PM, and on 1 January 2027, it remains closed. The final day, 3 January, concludes at 5:00 PM.
Tickets
General admission to the "Winter in Antwerp" Christmas market and the beautifully illuminated squares is entirely free. However, specific attractions such as ice skating on Groenplaats or riding the giant Ferris wheel require tickets to be purchased on-site.
