Welcome to the Wintermarkt Carolinensiel 2026/2027 in Carolinensiel
The Wintermarkt Carolinensiel 2026/2027 transforms the historic Museum Harbour in the North Sea spa town of Carolinensiel-Harlesiel into a magical Christmas setting. From 27 November 2026 until early January 2027, visitors can enjoy a unique combination of a floating Christmas tree, a sea of lights and a maritime winter market right on the North Sea coast.

Program & Schedule: What to Expect in 2026/2027
The Wintermarkt opens on Friday, 27 November 2026, and runs throughout Advent into the first days of January 2027. During Advent the market is usually open Thursdays and Fridays from 15:00 to 20:00 and Saturdays and Sundays from 12:00 to 20:00. Extended daily opening hours apply from Christmas Day onwards. On 28 November 2026 the floating Christmas tree is traditionally lifted into the harbour by crane. A special laser show takes place on New Year’s Eve, with food stalls remaining open longer. The German Sielhafenmuseum also offers guided tours and winter activities in the Captain’s House and Groot Hus.

Admission to the Wintermarkt Carolinensiel is free of charge. It is an open market around the Museum Harbour. Food, drinks and goods at the stalls are of course charged separately. Guided tours and special events at the German Sielhafenmuseum have their own entrance fees.
