Visitor Tips: Travel and Accommodation in Wrocław

  • The Rynek sits right in the heart of the old town and is an easy walk from most central accommodation
  • If arriving by car, a parking garage outside the pedestrian zone is recommended, since the city center gets very busy
  • Warm clothing and non slip footwear are a good idea given the winter temperatures and the cobblestone surface
  • Accommodation in Wrocław's old town should be booked early given the high number of visitors around Christmas and New Year
  • Visiting in the late afternoon is especially rewarding, when the light decorations come into their own at dusk
