From 27 November to 23 December 2026, the historic market square in Würzburg will be transformed into a festive winter wonderland. Set against the picturesque backdrop of the Gothic Marienkapelle (Chapel of St Mary) and the magnificent Rococo Falkenhaus, one of Germany's most traditional Christmas markets—with roots dating back to the year 1800—invites you to enjoy the magic of the holiday season.

The market operates from Monday to Saturday between 10:00 AM and 8:30 PM, and on Sundays from 11:00 AM to 8:30 PM. Alongside the beautifully decorated wooden stalls, the Würzburg Christmas Market offers a charming cultural program. On weekends, traditional brass music fills the Marienkapelle, and Christmas stories are read aloud in the Falkenhaus. A fantastic highlight for art lovers is the Artists' Christmas Market, held in the historic courtyard of the Town Hall during the Advent weekends.
