Welcome to the Zug der Liebe 2027 in Berlin

The Zug der Liebe is a political techno demonstration that has taken place in Berlin since 2015, advocating for more compassion, charity and social commitment. After the cancellation in 2026 due to the changed security situation, the association Zug der Liebe e.V. is planning the next edition for 2027. Techno music trucks without commercial sponsors or brands tour the city, combining hedonistic rave culture with clear social messages.

Highlights & Attractions at Zug der Liebe in Berlin

  • 15–22 music trucks with electronic music operated by collectives and non-profit organisations
  • Strict rejection of commercial brands and sponsors – only love, solidarity and political content
  • Visibility for social organisations that often remain under the radar
  • Colourful, loud and positive demonstration in the spirit of the Love Parade, clearly distinguished from pure party events
  • Route through several Berlin districts with thousands of participants
  • Official afterparty in the evening (usually at clubs such as Ritter Butzke)
  • Atmosphere of bass, glitter, dancing and political engagement for a fairer society

Program & Schedule: What to Expect in 2027

The exact date for 2027 has not yet been announced (TBA). In previous years the Zug der Liebe typically took place on a Saturday in late August and started in the afternoon (often from 12 or 13:00). The route usually begins at Eberswalder Straße near Mauerpark and continues through Prenzlauer Berg, Friedrichshain and Mitte to Oranienstraße in Kreuzberg. The music trucks play electronic music continuously while social associations and initiatives make their messages visible. An afterparty traditionally follows the parade.

The event sees itself as a #SocialRave: a mix of political demonstration and hedonistic celebration. Themes such as solidarity, diversity, climate protection, the right to the city and social justice take centre stage. Admission to the parade itself is free.

Tickets & Admission for Zug der Liebe Berlin

The Zug der Liebe as a demonstration is free of charge and requires no tickets. There is no entrance fee for the parade itself. The official afterparty at a club (in previous years often Ritter Butzke) may charge admission – past prices were around 20 euros. Current information and any advance ticket details will be published on the official website zugderliebe.org once the date is confirmed.

Visitor Tips: Travel & Accommodation in Berlin

  • Public transport (U-Bahn, S-Bahn, tram) is the best way to arrive – the route runs through well-connected districts. Watch for possible road closures.
  • Choose light, dance-friendly and weatherproof clothing; August can be warm or rainy. Comfortable shoes are essential.
  • Book accommodation in Prenzlauer Berg, Friedrichshain, Mitte or Kreuzberg early, as Berlin is busy on late-summer weekends.
  • Follow the latest information on zugderliebe.org and the association’s social media channels for route, start time and safety advice.
  • Respect the political character: the parade is not a pure party but a demonstration for compassion and social values.
