Welcome to the Zurich Beer Festival 2027 in Zurich
The Zurich Beer Festival is Switzerland’s largest international craft beer festival and traditionally takes place in spring at the Neues Theater Spirgarten. Numerous breweries from Switzerland and across Europe present their newest creations for the first time on tap. Exact dates for 2027 are expected to be announced in late autumn 2026; based on previous years the event is usually held in late April.

Program & Schedule: What to Expect in 2027
The festival runs over two days and offers a varied programme from afternoon until late evening. Visitors can taste beers without limit on a first-come, first-served basis – from light lagers and hop-forward IPAs to sour and dark specialities. The programme is complemented by workshops, meetings with the brewmasters and live music. Food stalls provide catering but are not included in the ticket price. Tickets & Admission for Zurich Beer Festival Zurich
Admission is via a flat-rate ticket that includes all beer tastings (excluding food) and the festival glass. Prices are tiered according to entry time (earlier entry costs more). For the 2026 edition prices started from approximately CHF 51. Similar pricing is expected for 2027; current tickets and early-bird offers will be announced on the official website and via the ticket partner. Tickets are limited and door sales are not guaranteed. Age restriction: 18+.
Visitor Tips: Travel & Accommodation in Zurich
- Public transport is recommended: Tram line 2 stops directly at Lindenplatz; Zürich Altstetten station is only a few minutes’ walk away.
- Wear comfortable shoes and light clothing – the event takes place indoors and partly outdoors.
- Book accommodation in Altstetten or the city centre early, as the festival is well attended.
- Arrive early to sample the most sought-after beers from top breweries before they sell out.
- Use the free water stations and drink responsibly; plan public transport for the journey home.
