Alkmaar Cheese Market – Traditional Dutch Cheese Trading at Waagplein

The Alkmaar Cheese Market takes place every Friday from March to September at Waagplein (10:00 AM to 1:00 PM). Watch cheese carriers in traditional dress, witness the handjeklap trading ritual and experience a 500-year-old Dutch tradition. Evening markets in July and August on Tuesdays from 7:00 to 9:00 PM.
