Welcome to Anima Mundi 2026 in Pisa
Anima Mundi 2026, the 25th edition of one of Europe’s most important sacred music festivals, takes place from 8 September to 2 October in Pisa. Concerts are held in the magnificent Cathedral and the Camposanto on Piazza del Duomo – the world-famous Square of Miracles.

Program & Schedule: What to Expect in 2026
The festival presents seven concerts, each starting at 21:00. Four major symphonic-choral evenings take place in the Cathedral, alternating with three more intimate concerts in the Camposanto. The programme ranges from Baroque and Romantic masterpieces to contemporary sacred music, centred on themes of peace, hope and reconciliation. Highlights include performances conducted by John Eliot Gardiner, James Conlon and Trevor Pinnock, as well as artists such as Lucas Debargue and the Estonian National Male Choir.
Tickets & Admission for Anima Mundi Pisa
Admission is free but requires a ticket. Online booking opened exclusively on 2 September 2026 and is now fully booked. Any uncollected tickets are released at the ticket office in the Museo dell’Opera del Duomo from 18:00 on the day of each concert. Visitor Tips: Travel & Accommodation in Pisa
- Getting there: Piazza del Duomo is reachable from Pisa Centrale station by bus (e.g. LAM Rossa) or on foot in about 20–25 minutes. Pisa Airport is very close.
- Clothing: Evening temperatures in September/October can be mild to cool – a light jacket is recommended. Respectful attire is appreciated inside the Cathedral.
- Accommodation: Book early near Piazza del Duomo or in the historic centre, as the festival and major sights attract large numbers of visitors.
- Arrive in good time before the concert, as seating is limited and evening ticket distribution is organised on site.
- Combine your visit with the Leaning Tower, the Baptistery and the Museo dell’Opera del Duomo.
