On Friday, October 9, 2026, Copenhagen turns into one big stage from 18:00 to midnight. During Culture Night, more than 250 museums, churches, ministries, libraries, parks and squares open their doors for an evening full of unusual glimpses into the cultural life of the Danish capital.

Program and Schedule: What to Expect in 2026

Between 18:00 and midnight, events run simultaneously at several hundred locations across the city, letting visitors put together their own route through the evening. Each year Culture Night is shaped around a new artistic theme created by a different artist. The full 2026 program will be published on the official website over the summer.

Entry runs entirely through the Culture Pass, priced at roughly 16.75 euros (125 Danish kroner). The pass also lets two children under 12 join for free and doubles as a public transport ticket for buses, trains and the metro across Greater Copenhagen. The digital Culture Pass for 2026 goes on sale from September 11, with physical passes available at 7-Eleven stores in the capital area from late September.
