Welcome to the Festival'Tho 2027 in Val Thorens

Festival'Tho 2027 returns to Val Thorens, Europe’s highest ski resort at 2,300 metres. Since 2008 this three-day gathering has been a pioneer of the alpine electro scene in the French Alps. Exact dates for the 18th edition have not been announced yet; in 2026 the festival ran from 17 to 19 March. The usual stages are Les Chalets du Thorens, the 360° Bar and the night programme in resort.

Highlights & Attractions at Festival'Tho in Val Thorens

  • Pioneer alpine electro festival since 2008, staged at 2,300 m
  • Ski-and-music weekend in Les 3 Vallées, the world’s largest ski area
  • Daytime warm-up on the sunny terrace of Les Chalets du Thorens
  • Après-ski DJ sets on the iconic terrace of the 360° Bar
  • Late-night electro, house and techno in a resort club setting
  • Live musicians, performances and international DJs against a mountain backdrop
  • Three venues that move the party from the slopes into the night

Program & Schedule: What to Expect in 2027

Festival'Tho typically unfolds over three days with a clear daily arc. Late morning (around 11:00–15:00) usually belongs to Les Chalets du Thorens: relaxed warm-up sets, live musicians and a snow panorama. Mid-afternoon (about 15:00–18:00) the energy shifts to the 360° Bar terrace for après-ski DJs and shows above the slopes. Nights move indoors (in the last edition, Malaysia Club from around 23:00 to 05:00). The 2027 line-up and final timetable have not been published. The musical focus remains electronic: house, techno and high-altitude festival sets. Terrace sessions have often been open during the day, while a festival ticket covered entry across the three main day-and-night venues.

Tickets & Admission for Festival'Tho Val Thorens

Ticket prices for Festival'Tho 2027 have not been released yet. For the 2026 edition the official festival website listed presale tickets at EUR 20 and on-site tickets at EUR 25, covering access to three venues for the day and night programme. Earlier editions also sold Arena and VIP passes at higher rates (day passes from around EUR 63, VIP options well above that). The event is not free overall. Visitor Tips: Travel & Accommodation in Val Thorens

  • Getting there: Train to Moûtiers–Salins-les-Thermes, then shuttle or bus to Val Thorens (about 1 hour). By car, take the A43 and N90 towards Moûtiers, then the D117 up to the resort.
  • What to wear: March at 2,300 m means cold, wind and strong sun. Pack ski or après-ski layers, solid shoes, sunglasses and high-SPF sunscreen.
  • Book lodging early: Mid-March is high season. Hotels, residences and chalets close to the resort centre sell out once dates are confirmed.
  • Combine skiing and music: A valid lift pass (Val Thorens–Orelle or Les 3 Vallées) is required for the slopes; piste-side terraces may depend on lift access.
  • Respect the altitude: Arrive gradually, drink water and take breaks. Always check the official site for 2027 dates, clubs and tickets, as venues can shift slightly each year.
