Nestled directly beneath the famous Golden Roof and surrounded by the imposing, snow-capped mountain scenery of the Nordkette, this traditional market offers an incomparably romantic atmosphere.

Program

The Old Town market is open daily from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM. The stalls selling unique gifts and traditional crafts generally close around 8:00 PM, while the food and drink stands keep the festive spirit alive until 9:00 PM. A standout highlight is the Amraser brass band, which plays traditional Christmas music every single day at exactly 5:30 PM from the balcony of the Golden Roof. In the nearby Kiebachgasse, enchanting theatrical performances bring famous fairy tales to life.
