Oslo Jazz Festival 2026 – Seven Days of Jazz in the Heart of Norway
From 9 to 15 August 2026, Oslo's city centre transforms into one of the most vibrant jazz destinations in the world. Oslo Jazz Festival (Oslojazz), now in its 40th edition, presents over 70 concerts across 15 venues — all within walking distance in central Oslo. The festival covers all styles of jazz, from classic swing and bebop to Nordic jazz, avant-garde and electronic fusion.

Program & Venues
The festival uses 15 venues in central Oslo, ranging from the grand Oslo Opera House to intimate jazz clubs and converted churches. Key stages include Nasjonal jazzscene Victoria (the National Jazz Scene), Kulturkirken Jakob, Cosmopolite, the legendary jazz bar Herr Nilsen, and open-air stages at Spikersuppa and Juret. Tickets
Oslo Jazz Festival sells single concert tickets only; there is no day pass or festival pass. Tickets are available in advance through the individual concert pages on the official website. Remaining tickets are sold at the venue door before each concert. The festival also offers a large selection of free concerts at the outdoor stages — these operate on a first-come, first-served basis.
Visitor Tips
- Buy tickets for popular concerts well in advance as many shows sell out quickly.
- For free outdoor concerts, arrive early to secure a good spot.
