Welcome to the Palazzo Festival Regensburg 2026
From 28 July to 9 August 2026, the Renaissance courtyard of the Thon Dittmer Palais on Haidplatz turns into one of the most atmospheric stages in the city, night after night. The Palazzo Festival has run since 1998 and is one of the fixed summer highlights in Regensburg's UNESCO World Heritage old town; it is organized by KulturAgentur Alex Bolland. Unlike the similarly named PALAZZO dinner show series found in cities such as Berlin, Hamburg or Vienna, this is a pure open air concert festival with no circus acts or set menu.

Program
The festival opens on 28 July with Pippo Pollina and the Palermo Acoustic Quintet. The "Palazzo Ladies Night" with Steffi Denk, Lisa Wahlandt and The Divettes follows on 29 July, and a soul, funk and R&B evening led by drummer Gerwin Eisenhauer on 30 July. 31 July belongs to leading folk musicians from the European scene, before Australian band Adam Hall & The Velvet Playboys open 1 August with boogie woogie, swing and rock 'n' roll. The Regensburg Chamber Orchestra performs a festive summer serenade on 2 August, and cabaret artist Mathias Kellner brings Bavarian humor on 3 August. Markus Engelstädter and Bernd Meyer honor the life's work of Udo Jürgens with "UDO" on 4 August, while Cordes Sauvages and Diknu Schneeberger meet for a gypsy swing night on 5 August. Cuban rhythms arrive with Yellow Cab on 6 August and Son Cuba with Ecos de Siboney on 7 August. A Bob Dylan tribute concert follows on 8 August, and Trio Salato closes the festival on 9 August with an Italian summer night's dream. Concerts start at 8:30 PM every evening, with doors opening at 6:30 PM.
Tickets
Tickets are available through okticket.de and at well known advance sale points, including the Regensburg Tourist Information and KulturAgentur Alex Bolland. Prices vary by evening and mostly range between 34 and 48 euros; some dates sell out months in advance, so early booking is worthwhile.
Visitor Tips
- Book popular evenings such as the Ladies Night or the Chamber Orchestra early, as they regularly sell out.
- Remaining tickets sometimes appear at the evening box office for sold out shows; it can be worth checking from 6:30 PM.
- The courtyard is seated, but a light jacket is still recommended for cooler summer evenings.
- Regensburg's old town is a UNESCO World Heritage site; allow enough time to reach Haidplatz.
- In case of rain, some dates move to an alternative setting; check the organizer's website for current updates.
