Welcome to Rhine in Flames Koblenz 2027
From 13 to 15 August 2027, the Rhine and Moselle riverbanks around the Deutsches Eck (German Corner) in Koblenz once again turn into a lively event mile. Rhine in Flames in Koblenz is considered the highlight of the series along the Middle Rhine, combining a diverse summer music festival with a spectacular fireworks display above Ehrenbreitstein Fortress, the city's landmark.

Program
The event runs over three days, from Friday, 13 August, to Sunday, 15 August 2027. The grounds are divided into several areas, each with its own music program, ranging from singer songwriter sets to electronic music, karaoke and family friendly entertainment. The highlight of the weekend is Saturday evening, 14 August: the grand fireworks display starts around 11:00 PM, in recent years accompanied by a drone show, and the spectacle ends around 11:35 PM. Friday and Sunday also feature a musical supporting program along the riverbank.
Tickets
Access to most areas of Rhine in Flames is free of charge; tickets are only required for the Friday evening concert program in certain zones. In previous years, prices were around 20 to 22 euros per person (with discounts for groups of five or more), while VIP tickets including access to the VIP area, a private bar and shorter waiting times cost around 199 euros. Visitors who want to experience the fireworks from the water can also book seats on one of the illuminated excursion boats; these tickets are sold through the Rhine shipping companies and local tourist information offices.
Visitor Tips
- Arrive early, as the riverbank areas get very crowded on Saturday evening.
- Traveling by bus or train to Koblenz main station and walking to the Deutsches Eck is recommended.
- If driving, use the signposted Park&Ride lots outside the city center.
- Book boat tickets well in advance for the best view of the fireworks.
- Bring a picnic blanket and warm clothing while waiting for the fireworks to start.
