Roskilde Festival 2026: Northern Europe's Largest Music Festival

Roskilde Festival 2026 runs from 27 June to 4 July at Festivalpladsen in Roskilde, Denmark, approximately 30 minutes by train from Copenhagen. The 54th edition of this iconic non-profit festival brings together 177 artists from 37 countries across multiple stages, welcoming around 130,000 participants. Headlining the newly expanded Orange Stage are Gorillaz, The Cure and K-pop star Jennie, who makes history as the first K-pop artist ever to headline a Danish festival. The main stage program runs from 1 to 4 July 2026.

Line-Up 2026 (Selection)

Alongside the three headliners Gorillaz, The Cure and Jennie, the full program includes David Byrne, Little Simz, Wolf Alice, Ethel Cain, Kneecap, Zara Larsson, Bad Gyal, Brutalismus 3000, Lily Allen, Sama' Abdulhadi, Pa Salieu, Ken Carson, Sierra Ferrell, Lykke Li and Tobias Rahim. The complete 177-act lineup covers rock, indie, hip-hop, electronic, metal, folk, K-pop and world music.

Tickets & Prices

Roskilde Festival offers several ticket categories. The Full Festival Ticket (all 8 days including camping) is sold out. One-day tickets for the main program days (Wednesday 1 July to Saturday 4 July) remain available at approximately DKK 1,430 (around €191). Two-day tickets, allowing any combination of two main program days, are priced at approximately DKK 2,200 (around €295). The Full Festival Ticket was priced at DKK 2,600 (around €348). Tickets are sold through the official festival website and Tickster. Children under 10 enter free of charge.

Camping & Accommodation

Extensive on-site camping is available for all ticket holders. Those with day or two-day tickets can use the official camping area within their valid time window. For visitors preferring hotel accommodation, Copenhagen is just 30 minutes away by train and offers a wide range of options. Booking well in advance is strongly recommended as demand during the festival week is extremely high.

Sustainability

Roskilde Festival is widely regarded as one of Europe's leading examples of sustainable event management. It runs entirely on green energy and is targeting full CO₂e-neutrality by 2028. Food stalls prioritise organic and plant-based options, single-use plastics are being phased out, and the festival actively collaborates with researchers and companies to develop sustainable solutions that can inspire other large-scale events worldwide.

Visitor Tips

  • Travel by train: S-train lines A and E run from Copenhagen Central Station to Roskilde in approximately 30 minutes. Additional shuttle buses connect Roskilde station to the festival site during the event.
  • Arrive early: Camping check-in opens on 27 June; arriving in the first days gives access to the best camping spots.
  • Pack layers and sun protection: Danish July weather is unpredictable.
  • Free drinking water is available throughout the festival site.
  • The Danish krone (DKK) is the local currency; card payment is accepted at most stands.
  • Glass bottles and glass containers are not permitted on the grounds.
  • Reserve accommodation in Copenhagen or Roskilde as early as possible.
