Visitor Tips

  • Use public transportation whenever possible, as parking in downtown Ulm gets extremely busy during the Advent season.
  • Take time to watch the traditional glassblowers at work—their creations make for perfect souvenirs.
  • Visit in the early evening to fully appreciate the spectacular Christmas tree with its 18,000 lights.
  • Dress warmly, as the large, open square can get quite chilly and windy in the winter.
  • Keep in mind that the market will be closed on 22 November for Totensonntag (Sunday of the Dead).
