What is the Untold Festival?
The Untold Festival is one of the largest electronic music festivals in the world, held every summer in the heart of Transylvania. Its centerpiece is Cluj Arena, a football stadium that transforms into a massive open air stage for four nights, complemented by additional stages in Central Park and throughout the city of Cluj Napoca. Genres range from EDM, techno and house to pop, hip hop and trance, with international headliners on the Mainstage and the Galaxy Stage.
When are the Untold Festival 2027 dates?
The next edition, "Untold 2027 Star Edition", runs from 5 to 8 August 2027 (Thursday to Sunday); the exact date was already officially confirmed during the 2026 edition. A first batch of 20,000 early bird passes sold out within minutes of going on sale.

Where does the Untold Festival take place?
The main venue is Cluj Arena (Aleea Stadionului 2) on the west side of Cluj Napoca, with the festival extending into the neighboring Central Park and parts of the city center. Cluj Napoca lies in northwestern Romania, in the historic region of Transylvania.
How much do tickets cost?
The first 2027 passes started at around 522.79 Lei (about 105 euros); prices rise in several phases as sales progress. For comparison, the 2026 edition's standard early bird passes started around 165 US dollars, with four day VIP passes reaching up to 450 US dollars. The 2027 lineup has not yet been announced, and pricing for higher ticket categories and VIP packages will be revealed as sales phases continue.
How do I get to the Untold Festival? Getting to Cluj Napoca
- Cluj Napoca International Airport (Avram Iancu) is only about 8 km from the city center and has direct flights from numerous European cities.
- From the airport, the city center is about 20 minutes away by taxi or bus lines 5 and 8; during the festival, buses, trams and trolleybuses run extended hours.
- Accommodation in Cluj Napoca is in high demand during the festival, so early booking is recommended; Untold also offers official accommodation packages.
- The festival is fully cashless; all payments run through the festival wristband, which must be registered online after purchasing a ticket.
