From 12 to 16 August 2026, the Grüner Markt and Kirchplatz turn into an atmospheric wine oasis in front of the imposing backdrop of St. Jakob's Church. At the Rothenburg Wine Village, local restaurants team up with partner winemakers from Franconia and the Tauber Valley to present a wide selection of quality wines, paired with regional specialties set against the historic backdrop of this medieval imperial town.

Program

Over the five festival days, Rothenburg restaurateurs pour a wide selection of quality Franconian wines together with their partner winemakers and additional growers from the region, including both popular and rare grape varieties. The local Heimat and Weinbauverein Tauberzell takes part with regional wines and specialties such as Wildburger and Küchle. The participating businesses also serve a mix of regional and international dishes, creating a fitting setting for sociable evenings in a summery atmosphere.

Opening Hours

Wednesday and Thursday from 5:00 PM to 11:00 PM, Friday and Saturday from 4:00 PM to midnight, and Sunday from 12:00 PM to 10:00 PM.
